    I disagree on the basis that I think a sales tax based system will disproportionately hurt our middle and lower class tax payers even with Fair Tax’s refund/rebate system for necessary purchases.

    a progressive income tax is the heart of this nation; taxing sales is a bad idea that relies upon gimmickry to achieve any sort of “progressive” behavior

    or even better, we, the people actually have the power to take taxes back in our own hands as a whole! I personally dont see the government needing more than 10 percent of our paychecks. If most of the Americans filed exempt, took out their own 20 percent or whatever is taken out, bank that money throughout the year, make a lil bit of money on that too and pay at april is a good start. now if all did this, we can unite and say, no, you absurd taxes are to much, we all agree 10 percent is what you get. no choice for them. Just a concept :)
